Social behavior
Resident birds. In autumn and winter they keep in flocks of up to 10 individuals, and by spring they break up into smaller groups. In relation to humans and animals, they can behave quite aggressively, especially during the nesting period.
Reproduction
Clutch consists of 7-14 eggs, which are laid between April and May. The incubation period is 24-25 days. Only female incubates.

Royal pheasants are successfully kept and reproduced in many zoos around the world. In the wild, the king pheasant population is declining as a result of environmental changes and bird hunting for meat and feathers.
