Birds Gone Home

It has already been for several years that Gorky Park visitors enjoy watching gracious birds gliding on the pond. Each Spring roody shelducks, Canadian geese, white swans and black swans set off on a jurney to Gorky park. Their transportation and adaptation runs smoothly. Birds investigate the new territory and make themselves at home. Surely, they like the attention of visitors. Children like roody shelducks, the newly married couples enjoy watching the couple of white swans. Feeding of birds is prohibited. Taling pictures is encouraged. Our birds are quite camera-friendly.

Now the birds have left their Gorky park residence for winter. They will stay at their home, the Zoo, from November till April. Their pond and heated indoor enclosures are waiting for them. Their winter diet consists of various legumes and cereals.
