Take a Nap and Everything will be OK

This day is the World Sleep Day. It was first celebrated on the 14th of March, 2008. Since then it has been celebrated each year by the initiative of the International Health Protection Organization.Sleep is an imporyant part of human and animal life.


Sleep is needed for life of all organisms. Not everything is clear but one thing is sure that peopla, animals and even plants need sleep to restore living energy.


Australian bears are champions of sleep. They can sleep up to 22 hours a day. Dolphins, on the contrary, sleep partially. They can "turn off" parts of the brain and allows it to rest, at the same time the organism of the animal keeps on functioning successfully. Up to now it was thought that  ants do not sleep. Bu the latest investigations demonstrated that ants sleepbut not more than 1 minute. They take such sleep bout 250 times a day.
